Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
CRM is a trauma treatment model which highlights resourcing (grounding) the body to process and release activated emotions from traumatic experiences. Utilizing a blend of EMDR, IFS, and Somatic Experiencing, we focus on core negative beliefs driving unwanted thoughts and reactions. It’s effective for those struggling with CPTSD/PTSD, attachment and childhood trauma.
The goal is to get our logical (thinking) brain offline and tap into our core selves.
CRM is also highly effective when we’ve gained insights about ourselves and behaviors through traditional talk therapy and are ready to delve deeper into clearing long held beliefs driving these behaviors.
In other terms, when we get the “Yes, but…” around our actions.
When we know something is ineffective, yet we just can’t seem to stop. This model helps bring congruence with our thoughts and our actions.
The Comprehensive Resource Model works by helping you access the deeper wisdom of your body and nervous system—layers of experience that often live beyond words. Rather than revisiting trauma in a retraumatizing way, CRM supports healing through a series of internal resources:
breath, embodied presence, attunement, and connection with parts of self.
This somatic trauma therapy approach gently guides you toward the root of long-held emotional pain, while keeping you grounded in the present moment. It’s particularly helpful for clients who feel like they’ve done the work in therapy but are still waiting for things to truly shift. CRM helps bridge that gap, creating space for lasting change and integration.
By working with the body’s innate intelligence, CRM allows for
emotional release, nervous system regulation, and reconnection with your most authentic self.
If you’re looking for a somatic, attachment-informed trauma therapy model that goes beyond insight and into true transformation, CRM might be the next step on your healing path.
